Heroic appearance! New Grepolis update introduces heroes

InnoGames just released the Grepolis Heroes on the English languages versions of the game. Andromeda, Heracles, Leonidas and many more – from now on, players have access to numerous Heroes from Greek mythology. All of them have several unique abilities and can be used in battle. The Heroes will be only unlocked on certain new game worlds, in order not to change the balancing of already established worlds. English-speaking players can access the Heroes Feature either on the US-world Ithaca or the International world Mochlos.

Heroes are an entirely new kind of special unit. Each of the game’s Heroes is unique and has specific abilities. To be able to recruit a Hero, players must solve island quests in order to get either coins of war or coins of wisdom. Each hero can be assigned to one city from where they can be sent to battle as well. By investing coins of war or coins of wisdom, heroes can level up, which will improve their base values and the power of their special skills.

Andromeda Free	Bonus to resources production At level 1, as long as Andromeda is assigned to a city, the base production of wood, rock, and silver coins is increased by 16.5& in that city. At level 20, this value increases to 45%.	Good since it is free but don’t rush to level it You get Andromeda for free during tutorial. So basically everyone will get this hero. She might be useful until you get something better, or if max your resources production in one city.
Chiron105	Bonus for hoplites While Chiron is assigned to a town, he will reduce the costs and recruitment time of hoplites by 22%. At level 20, this increases to 60%.	Great for hoplite (sharp) nuke cities. If you specialize city for sharp attacks with hoplites this is the guy for you. He also has the best attack/defense stats of all Heroes of Wisdom and has ranged attack, so it could find use with first few clearing attacks with your slings.
Ferkyon70	Bonus to land units recruitment At level 1, as long as Ferkyon is assigned to a city, all land units will be recruited 11% faster in that city. At level 20, this increases to 30%.	Great hero for all kinds of land nukes. Basically you want to use this hero at city you plan to rebuild units fast and often.
Helen 55	Bonus to Phoenician trader prices When Helen is assigned to a town, buying units from the Phoenician trader is 22% cheaper in that town. At level 20, this increases to 60%	Almost useless I can only find good use for this hero if you plan to gold rush/spam units with Phoenician trader. I would skip this one and rush other heroes first.
Orpheus 75	Bonus to culture points generation At level 1, when Orpheus is assigned to a city and you generate a culture point by means of a festival, there is a 33% chance that you will generate an additional culture. At level 20, there is a 90% chance.	Awesome hero – Must Have! Probably one of the best, if not the best hero. Use it to get more precious culture points so you can expand faster. In Orpheus city pick theatre wonder, and send as much resources to this city so you can pump festivals and plays for more culture points. Not to mention Victory processions and Olympic games if you can afford it.
Terylea 65	Bonus to silver production At level 1, as long as Terylea is assigned to a city, the base production silver coins is increased by 44% in that city. At level 20, this increases to 120%.	Almost useless Silver production is rarely important, maybe in cities you plan to use for nukes that require a lot of silver(blunt – horses, or sharp – hoplites). I would skip this one and rush other heroes first.
Atalanta 105	Bonus to movement speed At level 1, an army led by Atalanta moves 11% faster. This applies to all units in the army. At level 20, this value increases to 30%.	Awesome hero – Must Have! This hero will make your armies fly. Combine is with lighthouse, cartography and army travel speed buff to make you CS or any other attack land faster. You can also use it for support so i guess your options are countless. It is also highest attack hero with ranged attack, great pick for first hero. You can use it early on with slings. Game changer hero get is as soon as possible!
Heracles 85	Favor booster hero At level 1, whenever Heracles wins an honorable fight you will instantly receive 22 favor for the god worshipped in your city. At level 20, this increases to 60 favour. You will only receive favor if you got at least 50 battle points.	Useful hero Has good attack stats (2nd best ranged attack so you can send cheap slings with him), and gives you favour when you kill 50 units. Great pick if you plan to boost favour in any city.
Leonidas 110	Bonus to defense At level 1, when Leonidas is defending a city, all defending units will have their combat values increased by 5.5%. At level 20, this increases to 15%.	Useful hero Best hero to defend city with. It has best defense stats and you can combine it with high walls and towers. Great pick when you need to turtle stronghold behind enemy lines.
Urephon 95	Boosts Mythical Units At level 1, mythical units have their combat values increased by 5,5% when fighting together with Urephon. At level 20, this increases to 15%.	Rarely useful Urephon is one of those heroes that will be useful only on few occasions, usually when you build your myth nukes. Dont rush to get and level it, there are much better choices to spend your Coins of War.
Zuretha 95	Boosts Ship Units At level 1, ships have their combat values increased by 5.5% when fighting together with Zuretha. At level 20, this increases to 15%.	Useful hero Best hero to defend and attack with your ships. If you build LS nuke in a city make sure you attack with Zuretha to maximize your impact. Get this hero, you will find many uses for it.
